Tournament Report

On Saturday, 28th of June, 2014 we had the pleasure to organize the first shogi tournament in Wrocław. It was a joint effort of the Polish Shogi Association and the Polish-Japanese Friendship Foundation “NAMI”. The tournament took place at the headquarters of NAMI, at Energetyczna street 14.

The Polish Shogi Association along with the Polish–Japanese Friendship Foundation NAMI would like to invite you to the 1st Wroclaw Shogi Open.

Saturday (June 28th)

11:00 - 11:50 -- Registration for the shogi tournament
12:00 - 17:00 -- Shogi tournament
12:30 - 13:00 -- Dobutsu shogi rule explanation
13:00 - 15:00 -- Dobutsu shogi tournament
15:00 - 15:30 -- Lunch break after the 3rd round of the shogi tournament
17:30 - 18:00 -- Prize ceremony, closing of the official part of the tournament
18:00 - 21:00 -- Social party (karoke, Dance Dance Revolution, japanese board games (also non-strategic)
21:00 - A trip to Hala Stulecia for the show at the fountain and a visit to Wrocław for leisure time

Sunday (June 29th)

9:00 - 10:30: An open kendo practice session -- season closing
11:00 - A sightseeing trip to Wrocław's old town, the Japanese Garden etc
